Beat Par Montreal is a longtime project of mine that I started in 2007 when I loved to listen to Dj’s in clubs. I was listening to Dj's set on SoundCloud but wanted to have a place where all the Dj's were from Montreal. So I created Beat Par Montreal 1.0 and in 2010 I redesigned the website to version 2.0.

The goal is to bring Montreal Dj's closer to all their local fans and friends in the techno electronic music scene and its sub-genres.
I wanted to have a simple but effective way to listen to some Dj's set with an audio spectrum effect. It was my first time trying these effects in After Effects, so I Youtube a few tutorials and voilà I created the visual I was thinking of in my head.
I wanted some sort of Audio Spectrum around the Dj's pictures where the user could change the look of it with a setting button or choose from the list in the menu navigation with the option in alphabetical order. I really enjoy these concepts, I did in After Effects.
Beat Par Mtl will always be a project I cherish in my mind and heart. I still love listening to Dj's sets but not so often in clubs.
